About
Bharat Parmar is an Assistant Professor at the IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay, where he teaches filmmaking and film studies. His practice and research explore documentary cinema, conversation, performance, and the relationship between cinematic form and lived experience. His current work investigates conversation as both a cinematic material and a method of engaging with questions of truth, subjectivity, and representation. Alongside his academic work, he develops experimental and documentary films that explore how people reveal, negotiate, and construct meaning through their interactions with one another.
